Marlins Board Meeting Minutes (3/17/25)

Agenda

1. Finances
  - Julie assisted Carrie with this month's financial review; everything looks great.
  - Noted that the company has not yet charged for the Power Towers.

2. Age Group Championship Review
  - No complaints from Coach Steven or Coach Buffy; all swimmers performed well.

3. 9 and Over Championship Review
  - Great team effort noted.
  - Lynchburg provided excellent assistance during the event.
  - ACAC is missing Friday's medals.

4. Bids for Upcoming Meets
  - Decision made to submit bids for the 8 and Under meet and the 9 and Over district championships.

5. Summer Awards Fundraising
  - Last year, $16,000 was raised.
  - Marlins are hosting the Summer Awards again this summer.

6. Banquet
  - Sign-up information will be sent out; Coach Steven is responsible for distribution.
  - Coaches will have dinner next week to decide on swimmer awards for the banquet.

7. Senior Gifts
  - Gifts will be given to Anna Elise, Tessa, Josh, Jackson, and Caroline R.

8. Long Course Schedule
  - Long course schedule has been set and will be distributed.

9. New Meet Policy
  - Plan to communicate the new meet policy to the team at the start of the short course season.

10. Upcoming Meeting
   - House of Delegates meeting on April 6th; need two athletes to participate.

11. Next Meeting
   - Scheduled for April 15, 2025.
